Review of some movies I rented

Oh My God. Please, whatever you do, DO NOT rent Gus Van Sant's Last Days. It is supposed to be loosely based on the last days of Kurt Cobain, or at least that's what the jacket cover said. Sounds enticing, but I'm serious, DON'T DO IT!!! The lying jacket also claims that this movie won some film festival type awards. Bullshit. No one in their right mind would think this was a good movie. Ok, so basically this guy who looks like maybe he is Kurt stumbles around mumbling to himself and wearing dresses and toting a shot gun in a large house where some of his friends (?) stay. I really have no idea. Nothing happens. Nothing. And I don't mean in the Napolean Dynamite type of nothing happens, I mean litterally there are 10 minute scenes where you just see the guy walking through the forest. Seriously, it's terrible.

On the other hand, we rented Crash, which I thought was quite good. It has a bunch of people in it (Sandra bullock, Brendan Fraser, Ludacris, Matt Dillon, Ryan Phillipe, that black guy that was in Hotel Rwanda and Ocean's Eleven, the dude from Hustle & Flow that looks like a black Benitio Del Torro). It starts out how these bunch of "unrelated" people have various racial issues. Some are racists, some are discriminated against, etc. Then all this stuff happend that ties them in scene had me sitting there calmly to instantly sobbing. I thought it was a very well done movie, even if it did have Sandra Bullock in it.
