OK... I watched half of The Office the other night. That's all I could take. I seem to recall this show getting some pretty high regards on here.
Did I just see a dumb episode or something? It had something to do with a ridiculous manager trying to pick up a purse saleswoman.
The show appeared to be an attempt to make it seem like the people were real and worked in a real office somewhere. There were interviews of people and so forth. The whole show seemed to revolve around people acting extremely nervous. Kind of like a cross between Trailer Park Boys and Curb Your Enthusiasm. I am aware that this show existed in British form before this and was apparently a big hit.
Is it actually worth my time giving it a second shot, or did I get a good sampling of it? There is NO DAMN WAY I would put up with working with people who act that way in a business environment. There would be verbal bitch slaps all around.
