Advice of the Day for December 21st 2005!

Posted by crux on 2005-12-21 10:23:26

Advice of the Day:

If the stress of your job (or other things) is really getting to you, don't be afraid to take a day off for yourself. The 'sick' in 'sick day' can apply to things other than the flu or a hangover, and the company will make do without you. If they can't then that's their problem not yours.

Quote of the Day:

"Acceptance. Acceptance of the impermanence of being. And acceptance of the imperfect nature of being, or possibly the perfect nature of being, depending on how one looks at it. Acceptance that this is not a rehearsal. That this is it." - William Gibson (When asked what will save humanity.)

Or if you prefer something a little lighter:

"The 'Net is a waste of time, and that's exactly what's right about it." - William Gibson

I don't know how many other technophiles there are on this list, but this is my favorite source for information (and witty commentary) about the latest in shiny gadgetry. I suppose if you're a technophobe it would also be a good source of new things to be scared of.
