During its 16 year run the band Curve was mostly known as a jungle/industrial rock act since their biggest singles over the years fit that bill. The majority of their album tracks, however, were actually more similar in sound to a band like Garbage. Curve was never able to find the same success as the bands they influenced though and the group, made up of members Dean Garcia and Toni Halliday, called it quits in 2005.
Despite remaining relatively unknown in North America the band seems to have become a favourite of advertisers and movie studios. Their track Hell Above Water was featured in the trailer for the first Spiderman film and has been used in numerous commercials since then - most recently appearing in spots for the new Miami Vice remake. Even if you've never heard of Curve, you will likely recognize this song.
