Okay, so we're planning on doing the next leg of the Bruce Trail on Saturday October 13th. The actual trail length is 12km of the hardest leg of the entire hike. This is a day hike and should take around 5-7 hours to do. Ummm, so far we have 3 people going including myself.
We will probably be leaving hanover at around 6am in order to get up to the provincial park in time for it to open and be on the trail around 8ish. It's better to get an early start at this time of year incase anything does go wrong on the trail. It will be pretty straight forward, bring water, lots of snacks and a lunch to eat. As far as water goes, I tend to only bring my wine skin and just drink georgian bay water, but that choice is yours. I will be bringing along a couple of pack stoves so if you have a hiking pot feel free to bring along some stew or something and just use my stoves (that's what I'll be doing). Dress accordingly, bring rain gear, etc...
If you're interested in coming and want more information, either post here or email me, my address is current on this site.
Oh, and everything should be totally fall when we're out there so it should be quite pretty, and you are usually free from wind since it's the east shore of the bruce penesula that we will be hiking on....escarpment. Yeah! Make sure you wear shoes with a good rigid soul if you can, I'll likely just wear my running shoes, the choice is yours.
