This goes to anyone that will be, or wants to, attend New Years in Hanover this year. You know who you are.
First: We will be doing the gift exchange thing again. So remember to get a gift that's 20 bucks or less. If you forget, no big deal, you just don't participate.
Second: There are elements that would like to make a slight change to New Years. It's been suggested that this year we could try to have some sort of 'black tie" affair. This is not to say that you need to wear a tie, but that maybe we could dress up a big (collared shirt would probably be enough) this year.
I presented this idea last night to some of the crew, and there response was "why would we do this? What's the reasoning?"
So, basically it's up to the people that proposed this to explain the reasoning for this, and then it might happen.
Go for it.
