Starring: Jessica Alba, Mekhi Phifer, and Lil Romeo
If you like to dance, or watch others dance, you'll love this movie because the choereography is off the top! And i'm sure it doesn't hurt that Alba and Phifer are some hot pieces of ass in it as well.
Jessica Alba plays a young women (Honey) who desperatly wants to be a dancer in music videos. Throughout the movie she helps inner city kids (Lil Romeo) get off the streets by getting them into dancing. She inevitably hooks up with Phifer who then helps her in some of her goals. Honey has to overcome problems when she becomes a successful dance choereographer; dealing with her best friend, her boss hitting on her, and trying to help Romeo get off the streets.
The cool thing about this movie is that it was filmed in Toronto, and anyone who lives here can plainly see it. It also stars some local Toronto talents such as DJs (Scratch) and Singers (Sean Desmond - not really that big of a deal, but oh well.... yay Toronto!).
Again, this movie is a "feel-good" chick flick. Almost worth the money, but i'd still rather watch it at home. I would say that this movie is in the same genre as Save the Last Dance. It's just one of those "rising to the top, over adversity" kind of movies. Nothing too spectacular but pretty good for what it is.
