The strangest sports story of all time?

This is from Salon, which means that you have to get a day pass in order to see it.
But King Kaufman is probably the best current sports columnist alive (Greg Easterbrook, Steve Goldman and Rob Neyer are also all good, but they're sport specific, Kaufman covers it all).

Here's another take on it.

This is a weird, sad, strange story. The Star article mentions how his agent is a lunatic, and now it comes out that he may have wanted to kill his agent, and his agent was convicted of touching one of his clients once...

Weird.
