Review of Collateral

Posted by phduffy on 2004-12-20 01:13:49

Collateral stars Tom Cruise as a hit man, and Jamie Foxx as the cabbie who drives him around all night. It's directed by Michael Mann, director of Heat and The Insider (Starring Action SuperStar Russell Crowe!)

This isn't a crazy action movie like Heat, we don't have 100s of cops being gunned down. We do have some though.

This is an interesting movie, worth the rental. We see Cruise try to change who Foxx is as a person... although I think he had alterior motives for that.

There's a scene in the movie where a fox runs in front of the car and they stop to look at it. If I was better at this stuff, I'd probably know the significance of this,b ut I'm not, so I don't.

This is a solid rental. The ending could have been better, and reality gets stretced at times, but no big deal. And the ending is fine, just not as KEWL as it could be.

ON THE BRIGHT SIDE:
Mark Ruffalo is in it, and he's usually good.
